I'm so happy that as a BibRave Pro I received and OM transition wrap to test and review. Orange Mud makes the transition wrap in 9 colors, plus a woodland camo print. I love blue, so I went with that. But, I can see getting different colors for each member of the family or matching it to a car interior.
The transition wrap is made of soft microfiber. I love how soft and absorbent it is. It's perfect for changing your clothes in public after a run, or putting a barrier between you and your car upholstery.
I've used it after runs and races when I'm a sweaty mess. The thing is — it feels like it wicks the sweat away from me. I never feel like I'm sitting in sweat the way I do with a regular towel. It makes the ride home from a race more comfortable.
To use the wrap as a car seat, zip up the zipper. This creates a hood you slip over the headrest on your car seat. The wrap stays in place while you drive. But, I'm find that I use this wrap around the house, too.
Sometimes, after a run I want to relax for a minute, or send a quick email. I grab my Orange Mud wrap and use it on my porch or desk chair. I call this Runner Problem #43.

Compact, Portable, Plush and Useful
I've been using the OM transition towel for about a month. I've washed it after every use (4-5 times) and it holds its color. This is a great piece of gear for runners, walkers, swimmers, and beach goers.
Below are more photos to give you a better understanding of how the wrap works.

We had time to pickup our packets, return to the car, and then make our way to the starting line. The race began and ended in the parking lot. There was a separate kids dash for the little ones at 8 am.
Since we'd never been to Legoland, our plan was to walk and take in the sights. The course took everyone through most of the park. I think there were more walkers than runners. Awards took place at 8:30 so there was lots of time to complete the 5K.

Legoland Orlando Brick Dash 5K
This was a fun race through a theme park. I had no idea Legoland was so large. The lego sculptures and decor are amazing. We ran through each area, plus the waterpark. I'm very happy we ran this race.
There were a couple of water stops, and lots of Halloween Lego characters ready and willing to pose for photos. The park staff cheered on the runners and kept us on course.
Part of the charm of this event was its small size. It was charming and lots of fun. There's room to grow for sure, but I hope it doesn't get too big.
I also love that proceeds from the race went to Merlin's Magic Wand charity.

If there's a quirky attraction, I want to see it. As a family, we actually spent a year of our lives visiting every Ripley's Believe It or Not we could find. I guess we're easily amused.
Here's the latest roadside attraction oddity we checked off our to do list: Spook Hill in Lake Wales. We visited on our way home from the Brick Dash 5K and Bok Tower Gardens, which I also recommend.

There you have it. Gravity is unworldly at Spook Hill! I have to admit I don't scare easily in broad daylight. I think it would be fun to do this late at night or at dusk on Halloween. Baaaahaaaahaaaa!
It's getting closer. Just two weeks until my first half of the season! Last weekend, I used a 15K race as my long run. This weekend, I was on my own.
First, I made a plan:

Sunday Long Run Stats:
I feel good about my fueling and time on my feet. I'll be ready to run the First Watch Sarasota Half on the 20th. I'm excited to run the Ringling Bridge and earn my giant dolphin medal. #HoorayRunning!

September heat and humidity are always a challenge here. Sunday was a cloudless, sunny day with 85% humidity. We had a slight breeze at the start, and a better breeze during the last mile.
The Fort DeSoto Park paved trail is nice, but has very little shade. That was okay, since my goal was to test my hydration and fueling plan in tough conditions.
I'm a real fan of the Gatorade Endurance products I'm using this year. I've had no stomach troubles, and they're easy to take while running. I used energy gels and thirst quencher during this race.
I started too fast, but calmed down and ran slow and steady after mile 2. I ran one mile with a pacing group which was fun. Most of the time I ran my own race with one eye on my BPM. It was super hot and I wanted to stay safe. 'Cause I'm not This Young Runner.
How Many Miles in Your 15K?
Somehow, I always run too far at Ft. DeSoto. I'm not sure if it's my GPS or if I swerve a lot. I tried to run tangents, but whatever. My race totaled 9.41 miles instead of 9.3.
