Windy Weather Delayed the Races for 2+ Hours

Two big weather fronts threatened the Key West Half and 5K on Sunday morning. Race officials delayed the race to keep everyone safe. After 2+ hours, the race started as planned.

Everyone I've seen or heard from said it was a fun event. Great tour around the island, musical street party, happy volunteers, and blingy bling. This year's medals were a mermaid for the half marathoners and a cute-as-ever 5K medal.

First Place Award is an Engraved Conch Shell

On #MedalMonday I was checking out everyone's medals. This one blew my mind. I'll never be fast enough to win a race, but if I was — I would set my sights on the Key West Half. How cool is this conch shell award from the Conch Republic?
