Waiting to Wear Long SleevesMy beautiful sweat-wicking, lightweight, long-sleeve #RunnerOfSteel Pittsburgh Marathon In Training shirt arrived at the start of October. And I haven't had a chance to wear it on a run yet. (Still hitting high 80s here in Florida.) Sure, I've worn it around the house in the air conditioning, but that's not the same, is it? I'm thinking the first time I wear it outside will be while we're in Pittsburgh next month. Here's a picture so you can admire it with me. It's a Brooks #RunHappy shirt. It's Black and Gold. It looks fast. I'm excited about running the half marathon next May in my hometown. I'm also terrified of running the hills since I'm used to the flat lands of Florida. But, it's all about the challenge, right?
Pittsburgh Magazine's List of the Most Enjoyable Parts of the Pittsburgh MarathonLast April in honor of the 10th running of the race, Pittsburgh Magazine described the 10 most enjoyable parts of the Pittsburgh Marathon. Read the article to see what you can expect to see during the race. Also — do you see those hills? I'll be running the half with my daughter next May. Until then I'll be training on every hill I can find here in Florida! #RunnerofSteel #RunPittsburgh #PittsburghMarathon #PittsburghHalf #ThisOldRunner #10YearsRunning #SteelCityRunners
