Count Down to Caladesi

10 Mile Trail Run and 5K Beach Run are on Saturday, December 3rd

Bad weather cancelled the Caladesi Island event this past January. But, now it's on for December 3rd. The race begins and ends at Pier 60 on Causeway Blvd. in Clearwater. The 10 mile trail run will be a good workout and test for participants.

I couldn't run on the original date, so I'm excited that I can run on the new date! There is a 10 mile run on the beach and trails, and a 5K Beach Run. The West Florida Y Runners Club puts on this annual event. No word on a date for 2017 yet.

The race was rescheduled.

5K Beach Run finishers receive this medal.

Runners will travel from Pier 60 on Causeway Blvd. to Caladesi Island State Park for the out and back race course.

The race will be on the beach, plus sand and dirt trails.
