Details on Hot Chocolate 15K/5K Bonus SWAG for 2018-2019 Season

Each year the Allstate Hot Chocolate 15K/5K offers bonus swag to runners who sign up early using a code. Last year it was a soft grey baseball cap with the HC15K logo. This year it's a phone holder armband.

I received a HC15K armband phone holder to test. I took it out for a run the other day, and I like it. I've been worried about carrying my phone in my pocket in the high temps this summer. I'm afraid it'll overheat and malfunction. So, lately I've held my phone in my hand to keep it cool while I run. But I don't like holding my phone while I run. 

That's why I was happy to test running with my phone in an armband. I think it stayed cooler. And I didn't have to hold it. That's a win-win to me.

There are plenty of holes for wires, no matter where the plug in is located on your phone. The band has an adjustable velcro strap. The opening is wide enough to make it easy to access your phone while running if needed. (Photo credit: This Old Runner)

The phone area is plenty big. I tried it with an iPhone 5 (above) an iPhone 7 and a Samsung. There's PLENTY of room for a bigger phone, cash, and a gel. (Photo credit: This Old Runner)
