If You Like to Race and Test Running Gear Apply to be a 2020 BibRave Pro

11/8/2019

A few years ago, I found BibRave.com while searching for race reviews. I was so thankful for the info, I added my own reviews. While looking around the site, I discovered the BibRave Pro program and applied.

I've been a Pro for a couple of years, and can't wait to continue in 2020. BibRave is a fun community of active runners. Everyone shares info, advice, tips, and tricks on running, social media, and blogging.

If you're an active racer who likes to test new products you can apply online to be a 2020 BibRave Pro. Apps are open now through November 17.

What's a BibRave Pro?

BibRave Pros are racers and bloggers. We like to test new products and share our reviews with followers on social channels and the web.

Pros are passionate about all things running-related. We're advocates for the BibRave brand. We write race reviews and post them on the BibRave.com website to help other runners make informed decisions.

BibRave Pros are dedicated bloggers who want to grow their social reach and social media skills.

BibRave Pro Application Requirements

Here's what you need to join the BibRave Pro Ambassador Program:
  1. Enjoy running and racing
  2. A strong social media presence on multiple platforms
  3. An active personal running blog
  4. A BibRave account with at least 3 race reviews (www.BibRave.com)
  5. No more than 3 other ambassadorships

What Products Do BibRave Pros Review?

The Pros test everything from apps to watches to headphones to clothing. One of my favorite products is the AfterShokz TrekzAir bone conduction headphones. OMG. They changed my running life. Now, I run through the city and can hear traffic and my music.

Below are just a couple of other products I've enjoyed testing.

Love this reusable water bottle and my BibRave Buff. NuGo egg whites bars were my kind of fuel, and I still eat them. (Photo: This Old Runner)

Where Do BibRave Pros Race?

Thanks to BibRave I've enjoyed some fun races. Options include in person races as well as virtual ones. BibRave promotes races across the US, including Rock n Roll and Hot Chocolate series. Check out some current races and discounts here.

BibRave Pros meet up at races. It's pure pleasure to get together IRL! Race opps include Detroit Marathon, Grandmas Marathon, Hot Chocolate Races, and much more.

Sometimes, you run into a fellow Pro at a local race and get to say hello.
I ran the Scooby Doo Virtual Race Series with my friend, Copper.

BibRave Pro Perks

Yep! There are perks to being a BibRave Pro. You get to try new running products — sometimes before they reach the market. When you opt-in, you promise to test the product in exchange for an honest review.

Another benefit is free race entries. You promote the race and any discount codes in the months leading up to the event. Then on race day, you run for free. Boom!

Inside the BibRave community, you'll find encouragement and motivation from a variety of runners. My favorite part of BibRave is the range of runners. I've learned something from everyone. There's a steady stream of friendly advice on running, social media, gear, and blogging.

It's fun to meet up with other pros at races. I enjoy meeting people IRL that I've talked to online. Plus, BibRave hosts a weekly #BibChat on Twitter every Tues. at 8 pm ET. Join us each week for a lively running-related conversation and product giveaways.

My BibRave Pro Take Aways

I arrived late to running. But, I'm enthusiastic and want to learn everything I can. I spent 30+ years in Creative Services. I like that I now combine my love of running and messaging as a BibRave Pro.

Here's what I enjoy the most about the BibRave Pro ambassador program: The people are kind, smart, and industrious. It's a magical combination you don't find everywhere.

If you like to run and test new products, and share what you learn, apply to the BibRave Pro program.

If you have questions, shoot me an email or DM. You can find me @ThisOldRunner on Instagram or @ThisOldRunner on Twitter. I'm happy to tell you more.

You Can Always #AskABibRavePro

Another way to learn more is to search #AskABibRavePro on socials. You'll see what other BibRave Pros have to say about the ambassador program. Check out the races and gear they've tried.
