I'm Testing SiS REGO Rapid Recovery

One of the best parts of being a BibRave Pro is testing new-to-me products. Right now, I'm testing Science in Sport REGO Rapid Recovery powder. 

I've used sports specific fuels in the past while training and racing. But this is the first time I've used a post-workout recovery drink. I really (really!) like it, and I'll tell you why.

It Tastes Good

I've been using the chocolate and strawberry. I mix the powder with water as instructed, and drink. It's smooth, not chalky, and no clumps! Honestly, a couple of times I've thought about mixing up a second shake. It tastes that good. I'm looking forward to tasting the vanilla flavor.

I Feel Better, Faster

I've used REGO for my long runs and intense workouts. If I run for more than an hour, workout in intense heat or do hill repeats/speed work, I drink REGO Rapid Recovery. I try to drink it within 30-60 minutes of finishing my workout.

It's working well for me. I'm excited because I'm ramping up my training for a two-day triple challenge in early February. I've noticed less fatigue and less muscle soreness.

It Mixes Easily. No Clumping

We've all been there. You shake or stir a powder and it won't mix. I don't know how they do it, but REGO powder in the shaker with the grater insert mixes and blends so easy. 

I've done water first and added powder, and vice versa, and it always mixes completely with no clumps. I appreciate that. No one wants a ball of powder on their tongue in the middle of a drink. So good job on that Science in Sport!

I Can Replenish and Hydrate

REGO Rapid Recovery is made with Soy protein. That makes me happy since I'm vegetarian. Carbs, vitamins, electrolytes, and minerals round out the ingredients. It's a total win for replenishing nutrients and hydrating post-workout.

The SiS shaker has gulp spout lid and a grater insert.

Mix with 500 ml of water for fast absorbtion.

Put the grater in, screw on the lid, and shake.
