Race for the Cupcake 5K returns to Pass-a-Grille Beach on March 7, 2020 at 8 am.

St. Pete Running Company is hosting a beach 5K on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 8 am. 

The Race for the Cupcake 5K takes place on beautiful Pass-a-Grille Beach — that's right — on the sand.

The 5K is a timed event. There is a free kids race, too.

​Participants receive a finishers medal and a cupcake after crossing the finish line. Race swag is a beach towel.

Race Benefits Girls on the Run (GOTR) Tampa Bay

The Cupcake 5K benefits Girls on the Run Tampa Bay, a wonderful organization that teaches girls to be confident and live a healthy lifestyle.

Thursday, March 5, 4 to 7 pm and Friday, March 6, Noon to 7 pm at St Pete Running Company.

Race Awards

Everyone receives a cupcake and medal when they finish. Race awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers.

​PLUS, there's an award for the participant who finishes in the middle of the pack!

Age group awards go to the top three finishers in each 10-year age group. 
​

Virtual Race Option

If you' want to join the fun, but can't be at the beach on race day, try the virtual option. Virtual runners get a bib, medal, and race swag! All you have to do is choose VIRTUAL from the pull down menu under race.
