5th Annual TPA 5K on the Runway

On Saturday, April 22, 2017 runners will meet on Runway 1L/19R for the 5th Annual Tampa International Airport 5K on the Runway. Entries are limited to 2,000 runners. This is a chip-timed race.

All runners must finish in an hour, or they will be picked up in a courtesy cart and taken to the finish line. (Planes need to use the runway after the race.)

Early registration is $35 (increases to $40 on April 10). Registration includes a drifit shirt, finisher medal, and a rare view of Tampa International Airport from the runway. There will be picture spots, raffles for airline tickets, and a post race party.
The event will end at 10:30 so the airport can return to normal operations.

Parking is free. Use the entrance off of Hillsborough Avenue; take Hoover Blvd. South. Follow the signs. The event is not accessible from the main terminal.

Important Notes:

• Spectators are welcome and will have a good viewing spot.
  
• Absolutely, positively, NO strollers, rollerblades, skateboards, bikes or pets.
  
• No selfie sticks for safety reasons. 
• If you deviate from the course, you'll be removed.
• All bibs are non-transferrable; entries are non-refundable.
• 100% of all proceeds go to the United Way.
• If you can't make it to the race, there is a virtual run option for $30.
